What this work involves
Assess flatness, moisture and existing layers. Use a material or colour sample in the intended location.
- Substrate preparation
- Colour, texture and sheen
- Junctions and maintenance
Use the following design considerations when coordinating this service with a wider project. Agree which parts apply to your request.
Check material transitions between rooms before ordering individual finishes.
What the drawing needs to explain
Use the same room and detail numbers on drawings and in the room book. Identify the approved revision for each item and which supplier still needs to provide information.
How to review the result
Use the room book as a handover checklist. Review transitions first and individual products afterwards; a fully supplied room can still have a missing junction.
Cost factors for this service
Costs depend on area, preparation, materials and detailing. Ask for the scope and selected specification to be described separately.
Bring this to the discussion
Photographs of the existing situation, available drawings and your requirements for wallpaper, sprayed & decorative finishes. Identify the elements that should remain.
Questions about the work
What should I discuss before arranging wallpaper, sprayed & decorative finishes?
A new finish will not hide every uneven surface. Agree the preparation and expected visual result beforehand.
The design situations here illustrate choices; they are not completed projects or a diagnosis of your property.
